H1N1 and Pneumonia

Oh The Joys of  the Flu/cold season, gotta love it!!! NOT!!! I have tryed so hard not to get this lovely pig flu In my home but it found us, ahhhh! Around 12am on Staurday morning I here a little whimperer at the side of my bed, so of course I jump to my feet hoping that its not a vomiting child, It was little Miss Kiaya crying that her body hurts and she was hot, so I felt her head and realized this little girl is on fire and sure enough tempature of 104.5 So I got in touch with the doc who tells me It sounds like H1N1 and to just continue what I am doing and to bring her in if she continues to get worse and if I see no  improvement. By Monday morning she was very dehydrated and her fever was now 105.6 and she was complaining of chest pains so I took her right in where they hooked her up to an Iv  and did a chest X ray where we found out not only did she have all the symptoms of H1N1 she also had Pneumonia, so to make a long story short she had a week off from school and had to take some nasty Antibiotics. So Then at around 5pm on Monday Logan started to run a fever so I thought to myself I am not waiting this one out and took him right in, the doc looked him over and said this may be what Kiaya has but his fever was only 102 (only? )Ya, still high but not High like Kiaya's, so then he listen to his lungs where he heard fluid in his lungs , he turns to me and says "I am so sorry Amber he has Pneumonia too", ahhhhhhh at this point I am sleep deprived since I pulled a 13hr shift the night before and now not 1 of my kids but 2 of them are really sick, so Logan also was put on some strong Antibiotics. Needless to say it was a fun week and everyone seems to be doing much better:)
